Had to reboot, and try again but this time I waited maybe 5 minutes and the screen appeared.
Waiting about a minute I clicked the button again, and was informed it was already running. I then tried the system restore through the repair, but it didn't pop up. Everything posted in forums didn't work, anything I used off the list after pressing F8 didn't work - just kept taking me to the "black screen of death." Windows Automatic Repair couldn't find any issues, it did have a message asking if I plugged anything in, and to unplug it if so. Today for some reason I just had to try it again.Today I chose a system restore that was right above the one I initially tried last night (at least I was *pretty* sure it was the one above it) And of course, the same thing happened but this time nothing seemed to work. I guess while repairing the files, it undid my system restore. I rebooted, Windows Automatic Repair started by itself, and it fixed the problem. "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135) Click OK to terminate the application."Īfter clicking ok, the screen was black with a cursor. I'm not sure if it is caused by malware? After an automatic update, Firefox went a little goofy so I tried to do a system restore choosing the third or fourth oldest restore (from 7 or 8 days ago) After the restore, when the login screen should have appeared - my computer gave me an error code How do I know if that fixed the problem, since it only happens at random - and not very often?Īnother issue that just happened to me last night has to do with the system restore. I found a thread today, followed the steps and ran the AdwCleaner cleaner.
It's been happening for some time, but when it first started I assumed it was a virus so I checked answers online and most people were saying it was the webpage itself.
RANDOM FIREFOX POPUPS .EXE
exe installer window pops up asking me if I want to open or save the file (different every time).
